To capture all that musical theatre has to offer guests were greeted by the cast of "Wizard of oz". Glenda, Scarecrow, Tin-man, Lion ,The Wicked Witch of the West and her flying monkey and of course Dorothy and her little dog Toto all mingled with the guests.

On entry to the ballroom under the flashing lights tiny black and white cats tumbled and contorted themselves while they purred in delight.

In conjunction with BBC entertainment the "main event" was an all dancing all singing, jaw dropping extravaganza. Dale Burridge and partner ripped up the stage with those toe tapping, finger snapping numbers we all know and love from popular theatre plus the odd operatic number! Phantom, Chicago, Cabaret, Les Mis, Cats and more spell-bound the audience. The finale was an all guns blazing affair with twelve dancing girls high kicking and tumbling till the curtain came down.

Thunderous applause, fabulous voices, fine wine and gorgeous surroundings resulted in a sure fire hit with the critics and patrons alike.
